Covering
one third of British Columbia, the Northwest
& Hwy #16 portion of Northern
BC stretches east from Mount Robson on the Alberta/B.C. border, west
to the Queen Charlotte Islands and up along the Alaska/B.C. border, and
north to the Yukon/B.C. border. This vast region takes in the spectacular
Rocky Mountains, lush valleys and forests, countless rivers and streams
and the fjords of the Pacific Ocean.
The area
offers excellent fishing, hunting, hiking, wildlife photography and camping
as well as a chance to explore First Nations culture. Both the Yellowhead
Highway (Hwy 16) and the Canadian National Railway (CNR) make their ways
through the North by Northwest.
